Middlesex University hosts an annual Classical Music Industry Conference, with the aim of bringing together industry professionals and scholars interested in this area of knowledge. The inaugural edition, in October 2018, was sponsored by PRS for Music and Gillian Moore, Director of Music at London’s Southbank Centre gave the keynote address. In 2019, Middlesex University joined forces with Wigmore Hall, Europe’s oldest chamber music venue, with one conference day taking place at the hall and another at the university. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no conference is schedule at the moment, but another edition will be planned soon.

Classical Music Industry Conference 2019
On 12 and 13 November 2019, the Classical Music Industry Conference took place at Wigmore Hall and Middlesex University, with John Gilhooly OBE, Artistic and Executive Director of Wigmore Hall, giving the keynote address.
